Tattoo Facts
Our shop is inspected and licensed by the State of Hawaii and every artist is licensed by the State of Hawaii. Our equipment is sterilized by autoclave and all needles and ink are single use only.
The healing process for a tattoo is approximately 2 weeks long. You must keep your tattoo clean and lightly moisturized. You must hand wash your tattoo with warm water and soap at least 3 times a day. We recommend Vitamins A + D ointment or Aquaphor for the first 3-5 days and then an unscented hand lotion until the tattoo is fully healed and back to normal skin texture.
Wear loose fitting clothing over a healing tattoo. The less friction, the better. Do not pick or scratch a healing tattoo. Do not use any ointments or lotions with aloe or vitamin E. Never use Neosporin to heal a tattoo. Keep pets and other people away from your healing tattoo. You should only touch it when you are washing and moisturizing it!
Your skin will go through a series of changes while healing from flaking to looking light and waxy. This is normal. Just be patient, and follow our instructions, and your tattoo should heal just fine after 2 or so weeks. We are also available to answer questions about healing, so don’t hesitate to call or email us.
You cannot expose a new tattoo to the ocean, sand, sun, pool, hot tub, bathtub, lake, river, or any other standing water source for two (2) weeks. Only showers are acceptable.
How to book a tattoo appointment
We recommend making an appointment for your tattoo so we can design custom artwork for you and assure that you get the time slot you want. To do so we recommend that you come into the shop at your earliest convenience and check out our portfolios. Then you leave a $50 cash deposit that will go towards the price of your tattoo. If you are a visitor, you should set your appointment for the end of your trip when you are done with all water and sun activities. Walk-ins are also welcome, but we do recommend making an appointment.
